You're already half way there...

I was recently in Trafalgar Square when I heard the shouts of a protest. I went to see what was going on and it turned to be a large vegan protest marching through London. It had all the usual aspects of a protest with chanting and banners, they were also handing out leaflets with more information to the surrounding people watching what was going on. It was when a woman was handing a leaflet to someone next to me when I heard her saying 'You've already started, the crisps your eating are vegan'. This immediately made me think about what I was learning in my behaviour change module. By using that phrase she was highlighting their perceived behavioural control, which is part of the theory of planned behaviour and therefore strengthened persuasiveness of their message.
